It quite possibly could have been a reflection off the sensor (has a greenish tint) and the fact that it's parallel to the light of the car makes me a bit suspicious ;) @ Adrian, yep I did, just my standard UV filter. Sometimes these can cause internal reflections of the lights in an image--if the light was moving like the car, it might cause a streak. I'm not sure that's the explanation, but it's a possibility.
